This occupation requires moderate physical exertion, including lifting, bending, and considerable time standing. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of three (3) years experience setting up and operating 5 axis CNC Lasers and have knowledge of metal alloys. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Able to read engineering draw-ings and blueprints. 2. Setup fixtures, vises, and rotary tables. Measurements of fabricated parts. 3. Knowledge of mathematical tasks and trigonometry. 4. Perform all other duties as assigned or directed. 5. Can identify and communicate to management machine and quality issues as they arise. Qualifications 1. Interpret dimensions and tolerances in both metric and inch. 2. Pick up part and fixture locations to set up cutting planes. Inspect parts to blueprint requirements using appropriate measuring tools. 3. Using dial calipers, micrometers, height gauge precision protractor and indicators. 4. Ability to solve right triangles on part measurements. 5. Be willing to work at assigned jobs in or out of the machine shop department. CNC Laser Operator "A" - 2nd Shift

Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Description The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for the manufacture of parts per plant specifications in an accurate and timely manner utilizing manual and CNC machine centers. Consistently able to design and develop accurate programs in a timely manner. Reliably able to run both new and repetitive jobs effectively. Set-up, check programs and operates numerically controlled machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations to meet precise tolerance and finish requirements. Requires the ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously. Understands program format and fixturing. Able to arrange, mount and secure work piece in absence of fixturing. Set stops: calibrates fixturing to appropriate reference points. Installs programs and/or cards in consoles reader and correlates machine position with controls. Manually cycles machine through an operation sequence to check fixture and work positions, tooling, clearances, speeds, feeds, etc. Adjusts machine or console to correct deviations from program specifications.
