All parts can easily be held in your hand, no cranes or material handling equipment are necessary. The majority of our CNC turning equipment is less than 4 years old, and state-of-the-art. Job Summary Responsible for set-up, occasional program editing (at the controls) and operation of vertical mills and horizontal lathes for production. Essential Functions <ul><li>Operator CNC Swiss Lathe machines for production machining.</li><li>Troubleshoot and optimize operating methods to ensure efficient overall production.</li><li>Document any changes or processes to ensure setups can be duplicated and overall production time is optimized.</li><li>Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery, and keep your work area clean and tidy.</li><li>Oversee the quality of parts produced in the machining cell.</li><li>To be proactively aware of work load and plan tooling requirements for future jobs ensuring minimum downtime</li><li>Inspect and deburr parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper measuring instruments. Take ownership of the quality of parts you produce.</li><li>Use skill and caution to prevent damage to machinery and equipment (crashes, etc)</li><li>Follow all safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Skills and Requirements <ul><li>Experience of operating CNC Swiss Lathes in a job shop environment.</li><li>Must has a basic understanding of CNC machining work and tool offsets.</li><li>Ability to work on a wide variety of complex parts from drawings.</li><li>Ability to change and adapt work behaviors based on a constantly changing production schedule.</li><li>Must be dependable and detailed oriented.</li></ul>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
