Senior CNC Programmer Position Summary: The Senior CNC Programmer is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining computer numeric controlled (CNC) equipment. As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will operate a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathe and/or Mill in our fast-paced environment and work from written instructions and blueprints to mill parts to specifications. The CNC Lathe Machinist will operate one or more CNC machine types to produce parts to specification and ensure part quality. Manufacturing Technician, CNC Optics (Weekend Shift) Ref #:16014 Toronto/Don Mills About the Role This position is responsible for generating and polishing optical components (precision lenses) using CNC machines with 3, 4, and 5 axes; NC; 2 axes and 2 mechanical axes equipment. Operates various precision optics CNC dual-spindle technology and axis design machines with a sound technical problem solving skills. Perform final inspection of complicated optical elements. About the Role Basic Purpose Currently the position involves set-up and operation of CNC Gear-Cutting machines and other machines when needed. Pay: $22/hr Shift: 3rd Shift Education: Certificate or Degree in Machine Tool Technology preferred. Top Skills &amp; Abilities being sought for this position: <ul><li>Must be able to continuously meet the Company's production requirements.</li><li>Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.</li><li>Must have good oral and written communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Must have aptitude required to understand and apply directions for operating various machinery.</li><li>Must have experience setting up and operating CNC equipment for a minimum of 2 years.
