Job Role: <ul><li>Develop 3 &amp; 5-Axis CNC programs for machining complex aerospace and motorsport industry parts in a variety of materials including, but not limited to, alloy steels, stainless steels, aluminium, tooling boards, and composites.</li><li>Create a complete work package consisting of CNC programs, machining operation setup sheets, tool lists, and other related documentation for use by a machinist.</li><li>Analyze engineering drawings and required specifications to develop CNC program and process flow to meet drawing requirements.</li><li>Utilize program verification and crash protection software to mitigate machine incidents. </li><li>Work with manufacturing engineering and machinists to develop manufacturing processes, including detailed work instructions, manufacturing sketches/drawings, and other shop floor documentation.</li><li>Assist in developing manufacturing fixturing and tooling.</li><li>Provide shop floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.</li><li>Work with manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and manufacturing groups to utilize root cause analysis and corrective action plans to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.</li><li>Analyze and evaluate manufacturing methods to provide solutions that positively affect cost, operator safety, productivity, and quality.</li><li>Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives.</li><li>Prioritize programs to meet the schedule demands.</li><li>Seek out the development of modern cutting techniques, tooling, etc., in conjunction with the Machining Supervisor to increase efficiencies.</li><li>Record time and materials to Work Orders.</li><li>Analyze Work Orders and perform the necessary actions to meet scheduling demands.</li><li>Assure quality and production requirements meet the engineering drawing tolerances.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li><li>Maintain positive team relationships with co-workers and customers.</li><li>Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies.</li></ul>What You Will Bring to the Team: <ul><li>A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.</li><li>Working knowledge of CNC Machining/Programming, G and M codes.</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend manuals, work instructions, and SDS sheets common to a machining/production environment.</li><li>Ability to comprehend and manipulate CAD in a 3-dimensional work environment. </li><li>Ability to work independently and within a team, prioritize tasks, and establish routines.</li><li>Must be capable of performing and communicating in a collaborative engineering environment, closely working with multi-disciplinary teams.</li><li>Demonstrate effective communication, initiation, and leadership skills.</li><li>Self-directed with a team-oriented mentality.</li><li>Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot during new process development yet adhere to procedure with established processes.</li><li>Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade.</li><li>Needs to have a strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on time.</li><li>Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and completing demands.</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</li><li>High School Diploma or Equivalency</li><li>5+ years as a machinist, preferably in aerospace or mold making.</li><li>Additional five years of proven experience in CNC programming, Mastercam preferred. </li><li>Experience with Fidia, Fagor, and Siemens 840D controls is a bonus.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings</li><li>Computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM</li><li>Extensive knowledge of machine maintenance and operation required</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and good math skills</li><li>Perform precise calculations, which requires a working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, and basic math</li><li>Perform frequent inspections and troubleshoot machines and parts</li><li>Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.</li></ul>What Fibreworks Will Bring to You: <ul><li>Medical benefits, dental, vision, long term disability and life insurance </li><li>Matching 401k</li><li>Discretionary quarterly bonuses based upon company performance</li><li>$1000 sign on bonus offered exclusively to new hires, not applicable to rehires within 12 months</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Employee Verizon discount</li><li>80 hours PTO vacation, 40 hours PTO sick</li><li>Paid weekly</li><li>Climate controlled facility</li></ul>Job Type: <ul><li>Exempt, full time</li></ul>Regular Hours of Work: Normal Business Hours 7:00AM - 4:00PM, Mon-Fri; Weekends, Holidays and work hours as scheduled by Management.
