May need to compute gear dimensions or machine settings.</li><li>Verifies conformance of parts to specifications using micrometers, gages, and computerized gear checker.</li><li>Comply with all work instructions, following and maintaining ISO/QS Standards and Northern Gear &amp; Machining procedures, and quality certification requirements.</li><li>Conduct all assigned and necessary preventative maintenance procedures, detect machine malfunctions, test operation of machine for functionality and performance, and making adjustments as needed.</li><li>Confer with engineers, programmers, production employees, and management to resolve machining issues, while maintaining continuous improvement, improved tool life, reduction of tooling costs, machine downtime, improved set up time, and implementation of quality improvements.</li><li>Assisting/Training operators as needed.</li><li>Other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul> Knowledge, Skills, &amp; Abilities: <ul><li>Requires physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
