Primus Aerospace specializes in high-precision, high-complexity CNC machining and assembly for the Aerospace and Defense industry. Primus Aerospace is currently seeking a Quality Manager with at least 5 years of quality experience managing in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. Schedule is Monday - Friday 6am - 3:30pm.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Provide leadership and daily direction to quality inspectors and other personnel.
  • Hire, develop, and evaluate quality department personnel.
  • Assist and training inspectors to utilize proper inspection processes and techniques.
  • Manage Quality Department personnel work schedules and overtime budget.
  • Selection, calibration, and maintenance of measurement equipment including CMMs, gages, and other tools.
  • Develop inspection and in process control plans for parts.
  • Supporting production in part measurement, scrap reduction.
  • Develop quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Review contracts
  • Lead material review board activities and ensuring all non-compliant material is dispositioned.
  • Perform internal audits according to ensure compliance to quality system.
  • Review inspector metrics and perform inspector evaluations.
  • Manage customer quality escape notifications, DMRs, complaints, RMAs, and corrective & preventive actions.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5 years of machining experience
  • 3-5 years of leadership, experience managing a team of 5-15 employees
  • Demonstrated experience using GD&T and a full range of measurement techniques
  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and visualization
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
