Machinist/CNC Operator

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: <ul><li>Locating and acquiring the appropriate raw material/slugs in accordance with the work order.</li><li>Responsible for the set up and loading of raw material into bar feeders/chucks.</li><li>Responsible for the setup of the CNC lathe tooling to ensure repeatable, quality parts are achieved.</li><li>Responsible for checking parts for conformity to manufacturing and customer requirements in accordance with provided Control Plans and calibrated precision inspection gauges.</li><li>Making tooling offset adjustments and replacing worn tooling as required.</li><li>Maintaining an accurate count for conforming, non-conforming, and utilized raw material.</li><li>Communicating with the shop floor supervisor and engineering team on opportunities for process improvements or changes.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, while also performing basic preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the respective QMS forms and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.</li><li>Following company policies and procedures to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.</li><li>Ability to multitask if needed.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.</li><li>Attendance at work is an essential function of the job.</li></ul> JOB REQUIREMENT: <ul><li>Experience with CNC operations in a machine shop or similar environment.</li><li>Ability to read and understand manufacturing routers and control plans.</li><li>Ability to read manufacturing prints and understand GD&amp;T.</li><li>Ability to read, understand, and edit G and M code for CNC equipment.</li><li>Comfortable utilizing calibrated inspection gauges.</li></ul> RBC Bearings offers a competitive benefit package.
