CNC Operator I - 3rd Shift $21 - $25/HR + $1.50/HR Shift Premium

Position Summary Sets-up and operates all machinery within the shoe department, including all fabrication equipment, plating and piston/shoe assembly equipment if the cell is expanded to include those operations. It is understood that in a working department, the specific machines and equipment are subject to change, as well as individual machines/equipment may be added or removed. Receives, stores, and manages finished shoes and pistons in a point-of-use storage approach within the assembly area of the cell. Interfaces with Met Lab and quality control to review and maintain material and OPR certifications. Maintains in good working order all necessary tooling, fixturing, and related accessories to support production requirements of the machines in the department, be proficient with MP2 Datastream and the TPM program. Must have a good knowledge of and ability to apply shop mathematics. Responsible for maintaining calibrated gages. Helps to train/instruct other employees as required. Productivity shall be equal to or above established standards and shall conform to prescribed quality. Exercises good judgment and care in handling of all tools, gages, and parts that are in process. Proactively keeps their machines and work areas clean and in good order. Participates in "continuous improvement" efforts within the classification/department. Prior carpentry experience is helpful but not required.
