ZSK Embroidery & Quilting CNC Operator (Mon-Thurs 6:30am-5:00pm)

SCS Interiors has an opening for a ZSK Embroidery & Quilting CNC Operator to join our team.

The ideal individual would have prior experience with quilting or embroidery machines, general CNC knowledge, along with experience loading/unloading materials from these machines, and doing basic maintenance or troubleshooting. We work with many textiles such as acrylic fabric, leather, and vinyl.

About us: SCS Interiors cuts, sews, and manufactures a wide variety of upholstery items for clients within the aerospace, transportation, commercial, and marine industries. We have a 20,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility (climate controlled) here in the Duluth Airpark. Our services and products are high quality, creative, cost-effective, and unique for each customer.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Obtain the proper materials and operate machines to match the specifications outlined by the customer
• Set up and run custom or repeated designs
• Adjust thread tension regularly
• Complete assigned work orders throughout the day
• Inspect material for flaws before and after production
• Complete necessary documentation
• Route finished parts to the next work center
• Maintain equipment and inform CNC Lead if any repairs are needed
• Keep a clean work environment

Requirements:

• Prior embroidery/quilting machine experience preferred

• Ability to read & write in English
• Ability to see in color
• Ability to read CAD drawings/blueprints
• Ability to use necessary tools including but not limited to those for the ZSK machine as well as a computer
• Ability to quickly change tasks and priorities throughout the workday
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Able to sit, stand, bend, and squat frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, assisted

Work hours are 6:30a-5p Monday - Thursday.

This position is full-time with benefits.

Salary: Starting at $19.75-$21.75/hr with set milestones for growth in role and responsibilities (~6 months, 1 year, 18 months, etc).
