We are seeking a Sustaining Engineer - CNC Programmer that will support moving projects from NPI to production, while maintaining the integrity of our components and holding to exacting standards. This role requires the ability to rapidly deploy highly-automated manufacturing processes as well as succinctly identify and prevent any shortfalls in product quality. The programmer has project-level responsibility for the critical components manufactured on vertical, horizontal, lathe, and 5-axis CNC machines. This role has significant growth opportunity, and is part of a rapidly developing, dynamic organization that directly supports commercial access to space, commercial aviation, and cutting-edge semiconductor technologies. Requirements

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Work with commercial aerospace, spaceflight and semiconductor companies to develop manufacturing solutions for extremely complex and challenging components
  • Comprehend engineering notes and communicate with internal and external customers to accurately conceptualize and complete designs
  • Use SolidWorks & CAM software to develop standard and custom tooling solutions
  • Streamline SolidWorks to CAM programming using SolidWorks output or 3RD party CAM software
  • Train new or current programmers and be a resource for others when questions arise
  • Take the role of reviewing manufacturing process for other engineer's method
  • Other tasks as defined by leadership

Job Qualification/Experience & Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and 3-D modeling with advanced knowledge of MasterCam or NX
  • Conceptual design visualization skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to others
  • Ability to problem solve efficiently, working toward simple solutions to complex problems
  • Aptitude for mechanical design and can design intermediate to complex multi-parts assemblies
  • ASME Print Reading and GD&T fundamentals
  • Ability to review designs with quality team
  • Must be excellent with computers and file systems
  • General understanding of material properties, uses, machinability, and finishes a plus
  • Manufacturing Associate Degree or equivalent required

Working Conditions:
