Prototype Machinist

SUMMARY:  This Prototype Machinist position is responsible for programming, setting up and running custom parts in a quick turn prototyping cell utilizing both CNC and conventional lathes and mills. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Set-up and run multi-axis CNC lathes and machining centers.
• Must be able to work independently, programming and performing own set-ups.
• Must be able to work to close tolerances ± .0002 and inspect own work.
• Ability to set-up and run multiple machines simultaneously, optimizing machining hours.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and follow all work instructions.
• Must maintain a high regard for quality and compliance to all manufacturing requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 7+ years of hands-on machining experience.
• Must have good shop math skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be very detail oriented, organized, have good communication skills and be a team player.
• Must be able to work quickly and accurately with little supervision.
