As a CNC (Fabrication) Operator you will be responsible for operating CNC and glass edge polishing machines, reading drawings, using cranes and pallet jacks, ensuring product quality, adhering to schedules, and performing additional tasks as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operating CNC and Glass Edge Polishing Machines:
  • Operate CNC machines to fabricate glass components according to specified requirements.
  • Utilize glass edge polishing machines to achieve desired finishes on glass products.
  • Understand and interpret basic technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Help other operators and team members as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.

2. Material Handling:
  • Sort finished products and package them according to specified requirements for shipment or further processing.
  • Identify and report any damaged or defective products to maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of machines, tools, and work areas to ensure a safe and orderly environment.

3. Other Duties:
  • Receive cross-training and support operations in different departments to meet production demands.
  • Operate push pull cranes and powered pallet jacks safely and effectively to transport materials within the production facility.
  • Adhere to a detailed schedule and production plan to ensure timely completion of tasks and orders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support overall production goals and operational needs.

Required Qualifications
  • More than one year of experience with setting up and operating Edgers/CNC Machines.
  • Minimum six months of experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Minimum six months of experience in reading imperial and metric tape measures.
  • Ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Experience with crane operation is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams is an asset.
