Production Lead CNC Department (Oxy-Fuel/Plasma)

Summary

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the CNC department, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves leading a team of CNC operators, managing workflow, and coordinating with other departments to meet production goals.

Salary: $24.00 - $27.50/HR DOE

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision
  • Lead and work alongside a team of up to 6 full-time employees on two shifts.
  • Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of production schedules.
  • Provide training and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Production Management
  • Actively work with the team on the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines, including oxy-fuel, plasma, and drill.
  • Ensure the machine is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Recommend process improvement to the Operations Manager, once approved implement them to the production team to improve efficiency and quality.
Quality Control
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily weights and machine run times.
Safety and Compliance
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with WISHA/DOSH and other regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the team.
Coordinate and Communication
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.
