Production Engineer I for Brake / Machining

Job Purpose:

To achieve consistency in all areas of measuring, machining and operator training. To oversee the Safety, Production and Quality aspects of the machining department.

Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

• Role of Trainer for new operators and current operators to grow level up.
• Improvement of Production Productivity.
• Solving major quality Issues in terms of engineering points building 4Ps and 8Ds.
• Actively participate in 5S Improvement at Shop floor (floor walk list up & follow up)
• Complete assigned work in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
• Standardization of line operation including documentation with PE and training.
• Promote continual improvement and cost saving opportunities.
• Maintain prompt and effective Training for all relevant (MSA, Tool change, Operation).
• Controlling daily HPS data completion and motivating all relevant to achieve 100%.
• Increase first pass yield by improving measurement systems and optimize machining processes supporting PE.
• Manage process variation by reviewing quality reports and implement corrective action for all non-compliance to ensure/maintain process control and capability.
• Technical support for Change over team and control the team to improve Quality.
• Daily Quality Market and GP12 Data analysis and Improvement
• Perform Substitute Supervisor's Role in case.
• Perform Substitute Change over team leader's Role in case.
• Provides equipment - specific training as well as Safety training.
  1. In case of imminent situation, should support production as team leader.

Qualifications:

• -+Minimum 2 Year college degree is required or 5 year's minimum Supervisory experience. 4 Year college degree is preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership experience (i.e. Team Leader). Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds regularly.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Character which controls mindset during stressful situation.
  1. Character which makes good harmony with relevant Colleagues.
• Ability to train operators on basic line operation to achieve efficiency goals.
• Able to work overtime during the week and on weekends as needed;
• Leadership matching supervisor level (preference for supervisor experience).

Technical Competencies:

• Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel).
• Strong math skills.
• Proven mechanical ability.
• Leadership skills (positive "can do" attitude, ability to motivate and influence)
• Understanding of Industrial Robot (6 axis or multi axis).
• Understanding of GD&T for machining drawing.
• Understanding of Gage system
• Basic knowledge for Cutting tool and Cutting conditions at Machining Field.
• Comprehensive Understanding of CNC program
