Overview:
Northeast Tool & Manufacturing, a precision aerospace components manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on, growth-oriented Plant Manufacturing Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for a mid-level leader with strong technical and people management skills, looking to step into a higher-impact operational role.

The Role:
Reporting to the COO, you’ll oversee our 24/5 production floor—leading supervisors, cell leads, and a planner to drive daily operations, meet delivery targets, and continuously improve processes. You'll work cross-functionally (engineering, quality, purchasing, and shipping) to solve problems, optimize schedules, and lead from the floor—not from behind a desk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and throughput.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to meet customer demands and production goals.
  • Drive KPI performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Conduct Gemba walks to resolve bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and develop team leads, machinists, and operators; support cross-training and performance reviews.
  • Champion standard work, 5S, and FOD control to sustain a high-performance environment.
  • Collaborate across departments to reduce downtime and meet milestones.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years in manufacturing (preferably machining); 4+ years in leadership.
  • Aerospace/AS9100 experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, quality, and shop-floor execution.
  • GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5-2018); Six Sigma Green Belt or willing to obtain.

Nice to Have:

  • Master’s degree, Six Sigma Black Belt, or PMP.
  • Experience with 5-axis mills or multi-axis lathes.
  • Advanced GD&T certification.

What You Get:

  • $100K–$140K base salary (DOE)
  • Relocation support
  • 9 paid holidays (including your birthday)
  • 4% 401(k) match, education assistance, and top-tier benefits (including onsite Nurse & Pharmacist)
  • A fast-growing, team-driven environment focused on operational excellence

  • CNC

  • 120,000 to 139,999 per year
