Join our team in this dynamic and multifaceted role! We are seeking a skilled individual to support a hybrid position as an Anodizing Technician/CNC Operator. You will play a vital role in crafting some of the most impressive and renowned fishing reels on the market.

In this position, you will manage the electrochemical anodizing process to enhance the durability and appearance of metal components. Your responsibilities will include preparing surfaces, operating anodizing equipment, and ensuring top-notch quality while following safety protocols. Additionally, you will become a subject matter expert in CNC operation, with both areas being crucial to our brand's integrity.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Anodizer: Controls manual anodizing process to provide corrosion resistant surface to aluminum objects. Selects holding rack according to size, shape, and number of objects to be anodized. Clips parts to anodizing rack and manually immerses racks in a series process bath. Utilizes documented standard work processes. Monitors and test baths for concentration and replenishes as needed. Follows batch recipes and reconstitutes new baths as needed. Follows all training of chemical handling and their interactions, danger signs and production techniques as it relates to anodizing. Monitors process while working and documents process information required to maintain output and quality. Good organizational skills and knowledge of basic math. Individual will need to demonstrate the ability to exercise independent judgment.

CNC Machine Operation: Responsible loading & unloading material and performing various tasks to operate machines like CNC mills, lathes, drill presses, gear hobbing, stamping, riveting, etc. Monitors quality of output per specifications, follows established procedures and guidelines. to perform the functions of the job. Tracks production and reports both production and material usage. Reports to a supervisor/manager.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Rack & un-rack component parts for processing.
  • Manually move racks through process tanks monitoring timing.
  • Monitor, test & document all results from bath testing.
  • Constitute new baths or replenish chemicals as needed to maintain baths.
  • Monitor anodizing surface finish and thickness to maintain quality standards.
  • Keep the area clean and organized.
  • Track orders and complete quantities for reporting.
  • Load/unload material into machines and fixtures for buffing & polishing.
  • Routinely check parts to determine if meeting cosmetic, functional & dimensional standards.
  • Check surface finished parts to determine if meeting specifications.
  • Monitor quality and make all necessary equipment adjustments to machine or process bath to maintain specifications and tolerances.
  • Utilize dimensional prints, read understand and reference to maintain specifications.
  • Monitor machine operation and replace worn or broken tools as required.
  • Some manual operations are required on parts before and after processing such as cleaning and packaging, etc.
  • Minor machine maintenance, oil, lube, coolant etc.
  • Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.
  • All other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to read and understand technical recipes for solution baths.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and adhere to standard work procedures.
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instruction.
  • Good eyesight and able to see small color variation.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated; can work alone or as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow directives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for continuous improvement.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Experience in using hand and light power tools.
