Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI) is seeking an Operator to perform more complex set-up, operation, and maintenance of one or more production machines in assigned work area. The Operator may also assist with training other machine operators.

The hiring rate expected for this position is $28-$34 hourly.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

Responsibilities:
- Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete more complex tasks.
- Performs machine set-up/changeover to produce the required product or components by making mechanical adjustments to meet product specifications.
- Performs first time set-up of equipment for new products through programming, profiling, and mechanical/ software adjustments.
- Operates equipment to achieve production requirements and quality goals. Makes minor adjustments to correct machine output as needed.
- Performs manual production operations as required, e.g., apply labels, place components, load and unload equipment.
- Visually inspects machine output to verify proper assembly and workmanship standards are being met.
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities in accordance with machine operation manual or maintenance work instruction.
- Maintains neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of experience setting up and operating machines, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification
- Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
