Our customer in Sanborn, NY is looking for a seasoned Multi-Axis CNC Machinist to join their manufacturing team.

This is an on-site/full-time/direct hire position
Salary range based on experience: $22-30/hr


Job Summary
Our customer in Sanborn, NY is seeking a skilled Multi-Axis CNC Machinist to join their dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating and programming multi-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot multi-axis CNC machines, including milling and turning centers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
• Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
• Monitor machining processes, adjusting machine settings as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve production issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machines.
• Document production and quality data accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience operating multi-axis CNC machines.
• Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code) and familiarity with CAM software.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise machining tasks.
