Milling machinist
This machinist is responsible for machining products to meet the customer's specifications. Operation and set up would include program, editing, selection and installing tooling, fixtures and transferring programs. Gibbs CAM or Surfcam experience preferred. Our work environment is clean with a focus on safety.
Required Skills
- Setting up mills. Multiple set ups in a day
- Edit programs and offsets for mills. Programming ability is a bonus
- 4+ years of experience setting up and operating vertical mills
- Strong math, blueprint reading and inspection skills
- Determine correct processes, machining sequences and tooling requirements
- Able to visualize, design and produce work holding and / or special tools required during the machining process
- Perform preventive maintenance of equipment
- Responsible for following safety rules, producing quality workmanship and for good housekeeping in and around the work area
- Able to stand for 8-10 hours and lift 10-15 pounds throughout the day and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
A prototype machinist is required to organize own area and use initiative and independent action in programming and setting up machines, developing work processes, fabricating required tooling, problem solving and meeting parts delivery requirements

Salary: $23.00 - $31.00 per hour
