Aerodyn Engineering is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manufacturing Project Manager to lead high-precision, complex manufacturing projects from planning through delivery. This role requires a strong blend of technical insight, project leadership, and customer engagement. You will be the key driver in ensuring projects meet or exceed quality, budget, and schedule targets while serving as the liaison between engineering, manufacturing teams, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning and execution for the manufacturing of complex R&D hardware
- Interpret project requirements and define solutions to open-ended technical challenges
- Oversee the development and management of engineering drawings, BOMs, and contract reviews
- Coordinate all manufacturing, assembly, and testing workflows, including tooling and resource planning
- Generate accurate quotes and requisition essential parts and equipment
- Track project progress, maintain detailed schedules and cost reporting through systems like Epicor
- Serve as the primary customer contact for updates, issues, scope changes, and performance reviews
- Identify project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Manage internal and external resources including engineers, technicians, and third-party vendors
- Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to reduce lead time and improve efficiency
- Maintain a clear record of project lessons learned for continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree required (engineering or related field preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering project management
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a history of solving technical challenges
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
- Familiarity with Epicor ERP or similar systems preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused, highly organized, and able to lead cross-functional teams
- Capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure with a professional demeanor
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and support a fast-paced R&D-driven environment
