We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team of dedicated employees at our facility in Ridgefield, WA, as part of our Burton Mill Solutions division. Come and grow with us!

In this role you will be responsible for designing, writing, testing, and optimizing CNC programs to ensure efficient, precise machining operations. In addition to CNC programming expertise, this role requires proficiency in MRP and ERP systems to integrate production planning and workflow optimization into the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of CNC programming, CAD/CAM systems, and be adept at using MRP/ERP systems to streamline resource planning.

Pay range for this position is $73,000-$83,000 annually.

How You Will Make a Positive Impact:
  • Write, test, and implement CNC programs (G-code) for CNC lasers
  • Develop 2D Manufacturing Drawings of saw profiles using various industry specific programs
  • Generate digital profiles from physical parts sent in by customer
  • Optimize and troubleshoot CNC programs to improve part quality, reduce waste, and increase throughput
  • Troubleshoot programs and issues at the machine on the production floor
  • Establish BOM's and Routes in the ERP system based on customer requirements
  • Maintain and update BOM's and Routes through an ECR process
  • Maintaining and reporting SOP requirements for production
  • Create production orders when necessary
  • Communicate quality issues with Managers
  • Reports corrective action on material RGA's
  • Works with customer service and outside sales to meet customer requirements
  • Make transaction entries in ERP system

The Value You Bring:
  • Associate's Degree in Business or Manufacturing Technology
  • 2+ years of experience in plant operations or equivalent work experience
  • Electro-mechanical fundamental knowledge
  • Practical knowledge of machining, fabrication, and general production components
  • Solid experience with ERP and MRP systems
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, self-directed with the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative design team
  • Exceptional sense of urgency, with strong problem-solving and interpersonal communications skills
  • Effective interpersonal communications and presentation skills
  • Robust computer skills with proficiencies in MasterCAM, SawCAD, AutoCAD or equivalent software
