AST currently has an opening for a high energy “hands-on” Maintenance Technician.  

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical-mechanical and hydraulic related equipment repairs in a manufacturing environment.

Advanced Structural Technologies (AST) is an industry leading manufacturer of forged, flow formed and machined products for the automotive, defense, aerospace and alternative energy markets. As a fully integrated contract manufacturing business, all process steps are completed on site in AST’s 100,000 sq. ft. facility. 

AST is located in Oxnard California 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles and 2 miles from the Pacific Ocean and California’s Pacific Coast Highway.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist senior maintenance, engineering and management personnel in troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing a wide variety of equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

• Ensure that all aspects of the preventative and corrective maintenance program are being fulfilled as they relate to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and control system requirements. 

SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• Have a strong background in machine maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Provide support in the installation of new equipment.
• Have a strong understanding and repair knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Spanish speaking a plus.
