Location: Ellis County, TX
Shift: 1st Shift | Flexible hours
Pay: $35–$45/hr (DOE)
About the Role
We are a precision manufacturer seeking an experienced Lead Machinist to oversee day-to-day operations in our machine shop. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll set up and program CNC machines, optimize processes, and guide the shop team with minimal oversight.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor the shop team, ensuring efficient workflows and quality standards
- Set up, program, and adjust CNC lathes and mills as needed
- Optimize machining processes and adjust programs for maximum efficiency
- Take responsibility for shop organization, scheduling, and problem-solving
- Collaborate with leadership on production goals and improvements
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures
Equipment You’ll Work With
- Doosan machines with Fanuc controls
- Haas machines with Haas controls
- DM2 Mini Mills with Fanuc controls
- All newer Mills/Lathes 2020+
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years CNC machining experience (lathes & mills)
- Experience with setup, programming, and process optimization
- Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to guide a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Mastercam experience (or similar CAM software) preferred
