What You’ll Do

  • Setup CNC equipment to produce high quality parts, according to blueprints and engineering models.
  • Interpret (G-Code) programming, set up, and run CNC lathes.
  • Understand speeds & feeds with an ability to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories.
  • Responsible for selecting and installing tooling into tool posts or indexing heads.
  • Observe numerical display on control panel and compare with data on print sheet to verify dimensional adjustments on machining cuts.
  • Run first piece and check for conformance to specifications, complying with inspection requirements outlined by the Quality Department.
  • Responsible for following and maintaining 5S in work area and performing total preventative maintenance activities.
  • Load and unload raw material or parts into machining centers.
  • May calculate complex and/or component angles and dimensions.
  • Will use digital measurement tools with an emphasis on dimensional accuracy and precision.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of five (5) years of machining experience with a familiarity of G-Code
  • Experience with Siemens and/or Fanuc Controls
  • Proven experience as a lathe CNC Machinist in the manufacturing field including multi-axis lathes
  • Ability to maintain tight tolerances, and to read and interpret blueprints and use required digital measuring instruments
  • Experience with basic shop math, and familiarity with GD&T
  • Basic computer skills

Even Better

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Previous experience in an AS9100 Environment strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with DMG Mori, Grob, Okuma, or Makino machine tools
  • Experience with high temp alloys, such as Inconel and Monel
  • Machining credentials/certifications; i.e. CNC Turning Specialist
  • Foundational GD&T certification per GD&T ASME Y14.5 – 2018 standards
  • Certified in Lean Six Sigma; Yellow Belt or Higher
  • Experience in use of automation in manufacturing processes
  • Experience with Mastercam, specifically 2023 or newer
