I. Job Summary
Monday through Thursday 6:00am to 3:30 pm and Friday 6:00am to 10:00 am with some overtime.
Responsible for assembly of composite parts as directed by work orders; finish parts by laying out, bond, trim, drill, countersink, fill, and sand. May also apply markings, and package parts after completion. Includes use of small hand tools such as drills and sanders, along with operating a 5-Axis machine.
II. Essential Job Functions
• Reads blueprints, diagrams, process sheets, and schematic drawings.
• Examines products for defects, performing required tests, measurement of performance, need for required adjustments and verification of specified tolerances.
• Wet lay-up, vacuum bagging, and de-burring.
• Mark and cut tape, woven material, honeycomb, adhesive and similar materials following templates, guides or specific dimensions and sequences.
• Records information on appropriates production records, logs and other report forms, including oracle transactions to assure traceability is maintained throughout fabrication and assembly.
• Performs re-work as required. Repairs defective products rejected by inspection or test personnel.
• Use small hand tools, such as rollers, paper cutters, scissors, x-acto, knives, electric heat gun, drills, sanders, and fixtures such as trim tools.
• Mix and apply resins, bonding adhesives, etc.
• Must be able to track all time and temperature sensitive materials to assure no out of date material is incorporated into part fabrication.
• Must be able to handle a flexible schedule, to include Saturdays as needed.
• Must be able to perform all employee related duties to include 5-Axis machining, tool prep, hand trim, assembly operations, mechanical test coupon cutting.
• Work to build and enhance a team approach in addressing and accomplishing departmental goals.
• Assist in achieving standards of quality for every order processed through the department and to strive for continuous improvement and sustained levels of excellence for the internal as well as external customers.
• Work to ensure cleanliness of department areas for the purpose of promoting Park's NICHE culture with respect to employment at Park Aerospace Corp.

IV. Education/Experience/Skills Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in Composite manufacturing environment is preferred.
• First-hand knowledge of the following operations: 5-Axis machining, tool prep, hand trim, assembly, bonding, potting.
• An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.
• Read and understand blueprints and both technical and non-technical documents as they relate to contracts, products design, manufacture and test.
• Quality orientation and attention to detail.
• Problem analysis and resolution.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• An ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Accurate computer entry skills to Include Word, Excel.
• Strong team player.
V. Physical Requirements
• Individual required to be sighted (can be medically corrected).
• Job requires lifting of product/supplies ranging from minimal to 40 pounds on occasional basis, and may periodically require it throughout a production shift.
• Individual will be required to be mobile, with bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and crouching.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required.
VI. Training Requirements
• Training to applicable procedures that relate to area of responsibility
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Attend required safety and environmental training, as determined by the EH&S office.
