Job Description

Operate Equipment Safely: Handle machines and production equipment safely in a manufacturing environment, ensuring high standards of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) practices.
Quality Assurance: Follow standard work and quality procedures, like Statistical Process Control (SPC), to maintain the integrity of the manufacturing process.
Productivity: Achieve production goals by operating at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
Maintenance: Perform routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks, as well as planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
Continuous Improvement: Participate actively in improving quality, safety, process, and material flow.
Team Communication: Communicate effectively with your team and support teams to ensure smooth operations.
Personal Development: Engage in training and personal development that aligns with business requirements.
Flexibility: Remain adaptable and perform miscellaneous duties as required to meet production goals

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards. Report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard. Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations. Use appropriate personal protective equipment. Promote interdependence by looking out for one another. Correct hazards within your control and capabilities. Recognize how your work may impact the environment and work to minimize the negative impact. Engage in HSE Training. Quality Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards. Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures. Performs quality inspections. Identifies and controls non-conforming material. Delivery Operates manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product in order to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations. Demonstrates a high level of competency in core work skills. Achieves production goals. Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard. Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks. Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals. Works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair. Teamwork Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams. Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements. Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

Responsibilities

Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating CNC machines and other machining tools. Familiarity with precision measurement instruments is essential.

Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure all parts meet exact specifications and quality standards.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve machining issues quickly.
Safety Awareness: A commitment to following safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Qualifications

This posting will be for Weekday 2nd shift Tuesday through Friday 3:30pm-2:00am

Orientation will be held Monday September 16th at 2:24pm in W229
