Viant Medical is seeking a talented CNC Swiss Programmer to join its Fort Wayne team on a first-shift, 6-month contract with strong potential to transition into a permanent full-time position based on performance. This is a great opportunity to apply your Swiss machining expertise in a highly specialized, clean, and quality-driven environment focused on life-saving medical components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Swiss-style CNC lathes for complex, tight-tolerance medical components
• Create and document CNC programs using PartMaker software
• Collaborate with machinists during program prove-out and toolpath validation
• Provide setup documentation, tool lists, and support to machine operators
• Optimize machining processes to reduce cycle time, tool wear, and scrap
• Support production and New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts across departments
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to process capability and quality
• Interpret blueprints, 3D models, and GD&T for accurate programming and inspection standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or Associate’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of CNC Swiss programming experience
• Proficiency in PartMaker is required
• Strong understanding of Swiss machining principles, tooling, and setup
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T practices
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs occasionally
