OGS Machining is a CNC Job Shop that is currently looking for a full-time CNC Swiss Operator position for 1st Shift. Standard shop hours are (4) ten-hour days - Mon-Thurs. 6:00am - 4:30 pm, with occasional overtime on Fridays as needed.
OGS Machining is a medium-volume, production job shop whose average machining order is 100 - 500 pcs. 75% of our jobs are made from bar stock with the remaining 25% are machining castings or billet. All parts can easily be held in your hand, no cranes or material handling equipment are necessary. The majority of our CNC turning equipment is less than 4 years old, and state-of-the-art.

Job Summary
Responsible for operation of CNC Swiss Lathe Machines based upon customer requirements.
Essential Functions
- Operator CNC Swiss Lathe machines for production machining.
- Troubleshoot and optimize operating methods to ensure efficient overall production.
- Document any changes or processes to ensure setups can be duplicated and overall production time is optimized.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery, and keep your work area clean and tidy.
- Oversee the quality of parts produced in the machining cell.
- To be proactively aware of work load and plan tooling requirements for future jobs ensuring minimum downtime
- Inspect and deburr parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper measuring instruments. Take ownership of the quality of parts you produce.
- Use skill and caution to prevent damage to machinery and equipment (crashes, etc)
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience of operating CNC Swiss Lathes in a job shop environment.
- Must has a basic understanding of CNC machining work and tool offsets.
- Ability to work on a wide variety of complex parts from drawings.
- Ability to change and adapt work behaviors based on a constantly changing production schedule.
- Must be dependable and detailed oriented.
