JOB SUMMARY

In addition to performing the responsibilities of a CNC operator, the CNC Supervisor is an organized leader who facilitates and oversees the activity of other CNC operators during their assigned shift.

Reports to: CNC Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with Machining Department Personnel to improve quality and production.
• Oversee set up, fixturing, tooling, gaging, program installation, and operation of CNC machine tools.
• Read and interpret part prints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Train CNC Machining Department operators.
• Supervise CNC Machining Department production employees.
• Maintain production and quality control paperwork during production run.
• Maintain tool inventory and department supplies.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required
• 2+ Year degree in an engineering-related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience CNC machines and mechanical tools

Requirements and Certifications

• CAD/CAM, Solidworks, and Mastercam experience is preferred
• Forklift truck experience is a plus
• Demonstrates basic mathematical skills in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Able to read, write and understand work instructions and visual drawings
• Must be able to communicate in English
