The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is responsible for performing various tasks to operate, monitor, and perform limited preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is also responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting or changing tools as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
Expectations:
The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is expected to embody the ARC Products Global standards with respect to discipline, quality, punctuality, and safety, and to enforce those standards with subordinates.
The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is expected to communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
The CNC Set-up Tech Operator is expected to comply with all safety and health regulations.
The CNC Set-up Tech Operator should have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

The CNC Set-up Tech Operator operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The Machine Operator will adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and supervisor guidance and in a timely fashion.

Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: 7am-3:30pm, 1st Shift, Monday-Friday
Pay: Starting at $18/hour and up depending on experience.

Responsibilities
The CNC Set-up Tech Operator operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The Machine Operator will adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and supervisor guidance and in a timely fashion.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery
- Perform necessary pre-operation actions to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
- Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance and clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
- Perform quality inspections, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as directed
- Tear down and set up of CNC lathes and mills for upcoming production orders, referencing the program or set up sheets
- Ensure a good first piece is produced and checked 100% before starting production run.
- Assist in tool and inventory upkeep
- Ensure machine is ready for production after set up to effectively run the production order.
- Make tool changes and adjustments when and where needed to keep production running smoothly.
Requirements:
- 4+ years CNC operating experience
- 2+ years CNC set-up experience (preferred recently)
- 4+ years experience with quality checks and systems
- Reliable transportation
- Steady work history
