Position Overview: As a CNC Set Up Machinist at GCG Industries, you will bring your expertise in setting up and optimizing CNC Mill and/or Lathe operations. You’ll work on high-precision parts using Okuma machinery, with opportunities for skill development and career growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up 3 and 5-axis CNC Mills (3+2 capability) and/or 2-axis CNC Lathes (live tooling is present but not required)
  • Work with complex materials to produce precision parts for the medical and aerospace sectors
  • Ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards through accurate setups and checks
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to continuously improve processes and production efficiency

Shift Options:

  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x10 schedule)
  • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 3:30 AM (new team member needed)

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of CNC Set Up experience on Mills and/or Lathes (Okuma experience preferred)
  • Experience with 3 and 5-axis milling or 2-axis lathe setup and operation
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with medical and aerospace part standards
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
