CNC Programmer/Machinist

Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri

Position Type: Full-time, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday (limited overtime)

Pay: $28 - $35/hour (commensurate with experience)

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience programming, setting up, and running both mills and lathes using Mastercam or Fusion 360. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of our 3-axis and 4-axis mills as well as lathes, ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency in our machining processes.

Key Responsibilities:

● Program, set up, and operate vertical and horizontal mills (3-axis and 4-axis) and lathes.

● Utilize CAM software (Mastercam or Fusion 360) for programming tasks.

● Work with Doosan, Okuma, and Como mills, including simultaneous 4-axis machining.

● Operate Okuma 1420 lathes, Smart Machine Tool lathes (live tooling, no Y-axis), and Monarch VTL (Fanuc control, optional).

● Perform manual machining tasks as needed.

● Collaborate with the team to optimize machining processes and maintain high-quality standards.

● Surface grinding experience is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

● Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist.

● Proficiency in programming and operating 3-axis and 4-axis mills.

● Familiarity with Okuma and Fanuc controls.

● Experience with live tooling (no Y-axis) is a plus.

● Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Manual machining experience is a bonus.
