🔧 What You’ll Do
As a CNC Programmer I, you’ll play a key role in bringing designs to life by programming and optimizing CNC machines for production efficiency and precision.
Responsibilities include:
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for horizontal lathes using CAD/CAM software.
- Model and verify toolpaths to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Perform in-process and final inspections to verify quality against design specs.
- Adjust cutting paths, feeds, and speeds to optimize performance.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling challenges, and code errors.
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality teams on prototype and production runs.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in CNC programming.
- Support capital improvement projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
🧠What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as a CNC Programmer (Horizontal Lathe preferred)
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Skilled in CNC machining, setups, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Proficient with CAD/CAM software (Esprit, AutoCAD, THICAM preferred)
- Familiarity with Fanuc or similar control systems
- Strong math and analytical skills (fractions, decimals, geometry, trigonometry)
- Knowledge of tooling applications and machining materials
- Positive, self-motivated attitude and ability to work independently
- Willing to work overtime or weekends when needed
