CNC PROGRAMMER/OPERATOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
Shift:
3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under direct guidance, direction, andoversight: Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understandspecifications of output. Planning the sequence of necessary actions for thecompletion of a job, programming measurements, and marking material for cuttingor shaping on VIP aircraft modifications in accordance with technical manuals,engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Review samples, drawings, or instructions tounderstand specifications of output.
2. Plan the sequence of necessary actions for thecompletion of a job to meet blueprint requirements.
3. Knowledge of proper working material per engineeringdocumentation and taking measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
4. Knowledge on importing modes from Solid Works andprogramming tool paths on Mastercam
5. Select appropriate size of batches, speed of machine,etc.
6. Select appropriate tooling for Anderson Stratus Pro-3axis router and position material for job
7. Observe company rules and regulations, includinghousekeeping and proper use of safety methods and the safe operation ofequipment.
8. Adheres to all record-keeping requirements andpaperwork to ensure work is performed I.A.W stated documents and following theprotocol of RSQM and IOP's.
9. Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed,maintain temperatures, identify issues, and performpreventive maintenance.
10. Mentor junior collogues in proficiencies of runningCNC Programming/Operation
11. Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
12. Other duties as assigned are not specifically statedherein.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
1. High School Diploma, or GED,plus proven experience as a machinist.
2. Experience in using and/or programmingmanual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (CNC, grinders etc.)
3. Ability to read, write,speak, and understand the English language.
4. Ability to read andinterpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment described here is representativeof those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this jobwith or without reasonable accommodations.
The location where this position works is in anaircraft hangar environment which could be subject to weather changes and issubject to constant exposure to loud noise, potential contact with hazardouswaste material, heavy machinery, and other safety hazards such as cabinets,etc.

- Must be self-starting and motivated with the desire to learn.
- Ability to apply the use of routine to complex mathematical problems to solve work issues.
- Ability to comprehend and retain OJT.
- Ability to read measuring devices such as a scale or caliper or other required tools.
- Ability to use basic shop equipment (drill press, band saw, sander, etc.).
- Ability to use basic hand tools (grinder, drill motor, wrenches, etc.).
- Ability to read and write English.
- Strong ability to provide verbal and written communication.
- Mastercam experience.
- Anderson Router experience preferred.
