CNC Programmer / Machinist

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate a variety of machining equipment, such as lathes, mills, CNC machines, and grinders, to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Analyze work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to determine the machining process, tooling, and materials required for each project.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of machines and tools, performing routine checks and adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to discuss project requirements, provide input on design for manufacturability, and troubleshoot any potential issues.
- Monitor machining processes to ensure product quality and adherence to tolerance standards, making necessary adjustments to maintain precision.
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts, using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and make necessary corrections to meet quality standards.
- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Continuously stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and machining techniques to enhance your skills and contribute to process improvements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Machinist, demonstrating proficiency in operating various machining equipment and tools.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate production.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and operation is desirable.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adherence to safety regulations and best practices in machining.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy packages or medical equipment as needed.
- Willingness to undergo background checks, drug screenings, and comply with relevant safety regulations.
