Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create nests and programs for CNC lasers and punches.
  • Work with account managers and shop floor personnel to resolve issues that arise that affect production.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assume accountability for time management and job tracking.
  • Develop and maintain an open mind to learn new techniques and processes from experienced programmers and machine operators.
  • Organize and combine jobs to maximize machine utilization rates and improve efficiency.
Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Trade School / Vocational Training degree or certification preferred.
  • Proficiency using MetaCAM required. Familiarity with Trumpf Boost is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience programming CNC sheet metal lasers and punches required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform all essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly. Bilingual candidates are a definite plus.
