About the Role
We're hiring a CNC Set-Up Programmer to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you'll create and optimize CNC programs for advanced fastener production—working closely with engineers, machinists, and QA to ensure parts meet exacting standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with deep CNC knowledge and a passion for high-precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Develop and fine-tune CNC programs for turning, milling, and drilling
🔹 Work with FANUC, Mitsubishi, Okuma OSP, and Haas controls
🔹 Interpret detailed engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T spec
🔹 Use CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360) to generate G-code
🔹 Create setup sheets and tooling instructions for operators
🔹 Support setup and first-article inspections during production startup
🔹 Recommend tooling for materials like Inconel, titanium, stainless steel
🔹 Troubleshoot/optimize machining issues to improve cycle time/quality
🔹 Maintain program documentation, revision history, and SOPs
🔹 Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams
Qualifications
✅ 6+ years of CNC programming/setup experience in machining
✅ Strong knowledge of CNC machines, cutting tools, and work holding
✅ Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T
✅ Familiarity with tight-tolerance aerospace machining
✅ Experience with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators)
✅ Proficiency in Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar CAD/CAM software
✅ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
✅ Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
