Key Responsibilities:
- Programming: Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3 and 5-axis milling machines and 7-axis mill-turn/bar-fed mills.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain strict adherence to quality standards by conducting regular inspections and audits, ensuring that 100% of produced parts meet or exceed customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Schedule Adherence: Meet schedules by ensuring that all CNC programs are completed on time.
- Standard Operating Procedures Compliance: Follow Applied Medicals standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously, resulting in zero compliance issues during internal or external audits.
- Team Collaboration: Interface effectively with engineering, department supervisors, quality control inspection and upper management.
Performance Objectives:
- Within your first 30 days:
- Familiarize yourself with shop lay out and build relationships within your team and with other teams.
- Train on Fusion programming software and get to know standard policies and procedures in place within the programming department.
- Within your first 60 days:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Fusion, programming 3 axis and 3+2 machines.
- Demonstrate ability to meet production needs.
- Within your first 90 days to one Year:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Fusion, programming full 5 axis simultaneous machines.
- Create fixture design when needed and show a working knowledge of Solidworks.
Position Requirements
- Five years of experience in programming 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines or lathes.
- Working knowledge of a variety of materials: stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, tool steels, etc.
- Experience in Autodesk Fusion or equivalent software.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Preferred
- Machining hardened tool steels.
- Molds and mold components.
- Machining multiple grades of stainless steel.
