Job Purpose

They are also involved in maintaining, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure that everything is running smoothly. This is a hands-on programming role who will work very closely with our machinist.
Key Responsibilities
- Fixture design and creation
- Tooling selection
- Create setup sheets and work instructions to hand off programs to operators for production.
- Responsible for creating In Process Inspection Criteria (IPIC)
- Managing the daily production activities for assigned team, including machine programming for 3, 4 and 5 Axis Mills and CNC Lathes
- Complete ownership over assigned equipment as well as the team's daily job functions, responsibilities, fixtures, work instructions, team development, work flow and priorities
- Team members may include set-up machinists, operators and deburr staff
- Holding oneself and team accountable to company metrics and policies
- Must be able to work collaboratively and safely in a lean environment with cross-functional teams and varying levels of experience, including but not limited to Engineering, Quality, Production, Deburr and Project Managers
- Must be able to maintain professional demeanor while you positively inspire, influence, mentor and promote a safe, positive, engaging work atmosphere built on trust and teamwork
- Must have solid understanding of quality standards and GD&T as it applies in an aerospace & defense environment
- Time management, team building, detail oriented and accurate execution of the CNC Mill / Lathe programming for both NPI and legacy "repeat" work. Maintain or improve legacy part quality standards and cycle times with process improvements in accordance with customer and company manufacturing standards, delivery commitments, internal procedures, and protocols
- 5+ years of experience programming CNC Mills and Lathes.
- Experience with CNC Lathe, Mill Turn, and 3- and 5- axis milling machines.
- Proficient in Mastercam 2020.
- Experience programming offline.
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Proven cycle time reduction and program optimization.
- Ability to identify training needs, tooling recommendations, fixture design and implement best machining practices.
- G-code familiarity.
- Familiarity with multiple types of material; emphasis: titanium, Inconel, and other exotic alloys.
- Thorough knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and quality standards as it applies to an aerospace and defense environment.
- Strong ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals driven by metrics.

- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
