We are looking for a CNC Programmer who thrives in fast paced environment.
A typical day:
- Programming parts for CNC machines by reading and interpreting approved fabrication drawings.
- Reading drawings and/or sketches of work and establishing machining methods, materials and setups needed to machine the parts required.
- Translating 2D or 3D drawings into machine readable programs to operate CNC routers including call outs for all material requirements.
- Supporting production on a daily basis to ensure that client needs are being met.
- Developing, implementing and optimizing CNC programs for new materials.
- Programming nesting configurations for production staff to optimize material use.
- Programming prototypes, samples, templates.
- 5+ years AutoCAD/CNC Programming and setup experience, preferably in a woodwork/millwork shop
- Experience in cabinetmaking is an asset.
- Knowledge of Biesse software is an asset.
- Experience with MasterCAM.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Comfortable using basic and advanced measuring equipment.
