FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: Hourly

Summary

The primary purpose of this position is the coordination of programming CNC equipment to the internal customers at Porter Corp.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Quality/Cost/Delivery/Service and Technology
  2. Coordinate CNC nesting with Manufacturing and communicate daily changes with other departments
  3. Processes CNC programming and nesting
  4. Coordinating the schedule for programming with the shop floor personnel
  5. Review part prints and Methods of Manufacture for accuracy
  6. Coordinate any corrections or changes needed to job paperwork
  7. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required
  2. 1 years minimum experience programming CNC machining equipment preferred or equivalent schooling


Travel

This position requires minimal to no travel

Computer Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
Other Requirements
  1. Possess a strong knowledge of manufacturing, scheduling, quality control and material control practices
  2. CNC programming background
  3. Knowledge of CAD programs
  4. Effective communication skills
  5. Ability to read blueprints
  6. Strong computer knowledge

  3. Limit lost time and machine downtime
  4. Development and participation in scheduling systems that provide a smooth interface between disciplines
  5. Lead times to the internal customer from order to delivery
