ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develops, installs and maintains optimum programs for the safe manufacture of quality product in a productive manner with optimum material utilization.
- Creation, optimization, documentation and maintenance of all tool paths and part nests for our CNC equipment (Lasers, Turrets and related material handling systems).
- Direct interaction with our ERP system, related processes and people to directly and timely link the output of the CNC equipment to the needs of these systems.
- Development and maintenance of tooling requirements, standardization and tool maintenance procedures.
- Development and maintenance of CNC related procedures and other related documents.
- Development, optimization and maintenance of our electronic database of part drawing, nests, tool paths, etc.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving operational issues with the CNC equipment and support system (software, files, Programmer-generated information and operator actions).
- Provides analysis on feasibility, machine time required, anticipated material utilization, savings, etc. for a potential part.
- Assists and guides support personnel (Technicians, Maintenance, Tool and Die, etc.) in software and programming matters as needed.
- Demonstrates reasonable and regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments.
- Ability to work and interact well with others.
Education: Associates degree in an applicable discipline
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated intermediate skills on AutoCAD
- Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office Applications.
- General mechanical and electrical knowledge including troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to work on concrete surface all day and travel around throughout a manufacturing facility or warehouse 50% of the day.
- Maneuver 25 lbs occasionally.
- Occasional travel may be required
