CNC Plasma Operator

Lapeyre Stair has a position available for a CNC Plasma Operator at our Harahan location.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a CNC plasma cutter and other related machinery
• Manage inventories associated with plasma
• Load/unload material in and out of plasma cutting area using an overhead crane
• Manage work orders in Epicor
• Inform lead/supervisor of delays in production
• Work overtime as needed
• Maintain a clean orderly and safe workplace
• It is essential that this position is performed at the facility.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Strong mechanical inclination
• Able to excel in a team-oriented work setting
• Computer skills and the ability to learn job specific software
• Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift and move 65 lbs

Desired qualifications:

• Able to operate a forklift
• Able to operate an overhead crane
• Machine operator experience
