CNC Operator / Machinist

Edwards, Inc. is a full-service industrial general contractor providing construction, fabrication, and crane services. We are currently seeking a CNC Operator / Machinist for our Wilmington, NC location.

Ideal Candidates Should Have:

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Continually walk/stand on surfaces which may be even/uneven, stable/unstable, and varying compositions.
• The ability to routinely lift up to 75+ lbs.
• Excellent hand/eye coordination, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Essential Requirements & Skills:

• Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience of CNC programming and operating CNC machines such as break presses, fiber lasers, waterjets, CNC plasma cutters, and general machine shop equipment.
  • Experience in manual machining is a plus
  • Skills of milling, turning, grinding, boring and polishing.
  • Knowledge of gauges, precision measuring tools, and necessary equipment.
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and sketches and be able to mill from sample parts.
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to safety
• Additional Skills
  • NC Driver's License and a Clean Diving Record is a plus
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) is a plus
