S&C is continuing to grow. Where do you come in? We are looking for a talented CNC Operator for the Day Shift and has a passion for innovation and in their field of expertise, enjoys working as part of a team and are committed to helping us become a leader in our industry.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Work Location: 90 Belfield road, Etobicoke M9W 1G4

Shift: Day shift is 40hrs/wk (Monday - Friday; 6:30am - 3pm),

As a CNC Operator you will
  • Set up, adjust and operate CNC machines (TC5000, Laser, Metal Turning, Brake Press, Form Brake etc.) according to work orders and specifications with minor programming
  • Use manual pump trucks, cranes (over head / jib) and lift devices as required to move material and finished product(s)
  • Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with quality standards, target plans and verify correct run quantities
  • Visually inspect parts after each machine cycle and perform inspections as required
  • Optimize the running of parts to best take advantage of the machine's operating time
  • Filling out production boards with output for the shift as well as assisting in planning afternoon shift production
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and follow organizational practices
Who are we looking for? Someone who has
  • High school diploma
  • 1 year of experience as a CNC Machine Operator
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and use calipers, micrometers, go no-go gauges, etc.
  • Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 22 lbs.
