We are looking for the right individual to join our team as a CNC Operator Lead on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30pm-10:30pm. This exciting role involves serving as the group leader for all CNC machinists, ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and business standards. This position also has responsibility for the advanced set-up and operation of CNC machines in a safe and orderly manner while maximizing production output using efficient and effective methods.

What will you do?
On any given day, your responsibilities would include:
- Operating multiple machines simultaneously while proactively keeping all machines in the department running.
- Troubleshooting advanced and complex programs; performing significant editing of current programs.
- Proficiently setting up and running all machines in the department.
- Making adjustments to assure dimension, tolerances, quality and highest accuracy of parts.
- Assisting in establishing procedures as well as following quality and safety standards and taking responsibility for quality in the department.
- Providing technical leadership by coaching and mentoring employees. This includes showing machinist techniques, processes, providing advice, and sharing knowledge, skill and experience.
- Setting a good example by exhibiting leadership and being a positive influence for employees.
- Communicating delays and problems effectively and timely.
- Assisting in organizing and scheduling work for the shift.
- Providing direction and moving operators to ensure machines are running.
- Supporting the department supervisor by executing company polices and procedures.
- Addressing basic personnel issues under the supervision of the department supervisor.
- High school degree or GED
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong understanding of machining practices
- Highly skilled understanding of CNC programming language
- Advanced manufacturing/machining training and/or advanced certification or 5+ years manufacturing and machining experience
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve the most difficult jobs
- Ability to work well within a team or independently and a demonstrated initiative to drive for results
