CNC OPERATOR I

As a CNC Machine operator at Viable, you will be assisting our Advanced Machinists and operating machinery, including 3 and 5axis CNCs, a waterjet and a wire EDM, among others to produce components to specifications. Operators are needed for both day and night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate milling CNC machines, Wire EDM, Water Jet, and other machining equipment involving precision tolerances
• Read blueprints to ensure parts are produced according to required tolerances and specifications
• Verification and documentation of part dimensions and tolerances as required for quality
• Visually inspect parts for surface details and machining finishes with close attention to detail
• Provide general upkeep and preventative maintenance on machines and other tools

Qualifications:

• High school degree or GED required
• Experience operating general shop machinery
• Knowledge of general shop math
• Knowledge of Multi-Axis machines, Lathes, Grinding, and Turning equipment
• Ability to use applicable inspection/measurement equipment: micrometers, calipers etc. as required
• Good communication skills and the desire to work in a team environment
• Exhibit close attention to detail, safety, and efficiency
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time
