CNC Operator - 2nd or 3rd Shift positions available

What You’ll Do

• Operate CNC equipment to produce high quality parts, according to blueprints and engineering models
• Interpret (G-Code) programming, set up, and run CNC milling Machines or lathes.
• Understand speeds & feeds with an ability to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories
• Responsible for selecting and installing tooling into tool posts or indexing heads
• Observe numerical display on control panel and compare with data on print sheet to verify dimensional adjustments on machining cuts
• Run first piece and check for conformance to specifications, complying with inspection requirements outlined by the Quality Department
• Responsible for following and maintaining 5S in work area and performing total preventative maintenance activities
• Load and unload raw material or parts into machining centers

What We Are Looking For

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of five (5) years of machining experience with a familiarity of G-Code
• Proven experience as a Machine Operator in the manufacturing field
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints and use gages required for measuring tight tolerances

Even Better

• Proficiency with DMG Mori, Okuma, or Makino machine tools
• Experience in use of automation in manufacturing processes
• Certified Lean Six Sigma
