Required immediately, our local Centralia Branch is seeking a Full-Time CNC OPERATOR

POSITION SUMMARY

Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with CNC mills, lathes or routers a plus but not required
  • 1-year experience in a similar role with polishing on natural stone and engineered quartz a plus.
  • Must be hard working, motivated, well organized and task oriented.
  • Basic computer skills, MS Office
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to read units of measurement
  • Has or can obtain fork lift operator's certificate
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop math and inspection techniques.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a clear criminal record check

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Remove completed work pieces from equipment or work tables, using hand tools or mechanical lifters.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Must be hard working, motivated, well organized and task oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail and possess good judgment.
  • Must have good attendance.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to safely lift objects in excess of 50lbs
  • Work requires consistent bending and squatting
  • Other duties as assigned
