Description

Starting hourly pay range from $22.00/hr

1st Shift 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Overview: Responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment.

Job Functions:
  • Selects appropriate settings on CNC machines and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.
  • Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
  • Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
  • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
  • Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
  • Follows established quality and safety standards.
  • Assembles, repairs, and fabricates metal parts by operating mechanical equipment.
  • Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units.
  • Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Must have basic shop practice knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Education: May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Requires 4 plus years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • LIFTING REQUIREMENTS: 50 pounds
  • PUSHING/PULLING REQUIREMENTS: 50 pounds w/assist
  • SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Hard hat, in required areas, safety shoes and safety glasses
